Creating An Email Account
Before proceeding, you'll be required to setup an e-mail address within cPanel before setting it up in Postbox. View the guide here: Guide: Creating an email account
If your email address already exists within cPanel, please proceed with following the instructions below.
Automatic Setup Guide (Recommended)
1. Log into cPanel (cPanel login guide)
2. Select the 'Email Accounts' option under the 'Mail' tab
3. If you haven't already created an email address, you may create one now
4. Select the 'More' button besides your email address
5. Select 'Configure Email Client' option
6. Select the 'AutoConfig' option besides 'Postbox for Windows' & follow the on screen prompts
Once completed your email address will be automatically configured on device that you've downloaded this file onto.
Manual Configuration Guide
In this knowledgebase article we will assist you with adding and configuring a new email account in PostBox, we assume that you have already created your email account within your cPanel account.
Without SSL Encryption
Change the Incoming server port to 143 for IMAP to port 110 for POP3.
Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to 25 or port 587 if your ISP blocks port 25.
With SSL Encryption
Change the Incoming server port to 993 for IMAP to port 995 for POP3.
Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to 465.
You are required to set the incoming and outgoing server names to the server name, the server name can be found within cPanel by selecting the 'Email Accounts' option under 'Mail' tab. Select the 'More' button besides your email address, then select 'Configure Email Settings', the server name will be listed on this page.
You have now completed setting up your email account on PostBox.

Please ensure that you're performing the steps below from the device that you wish to cofigure your email account on.

3. If you haven't already created an email address, you may create one now
4. Select the 'More' button besides your email address
5. Select 'Configure Email Client' option
6. Select the 'AutoConfig' option besides 'Postbox for Windows' & follow the on screen prompts

- Open Postbox.
- Enter your Profile Information and then click on the Manual Setup button.
- Complete the settings as follows:
Incoming Server
User name: The full email address you are adding to PostBox.
Server Name: This would be mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is your domain name or alternatively you can use the server hostname.
Type: Select POP3 or IMAP from the drop down.
Outgoing Server
Server Name: This would be mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is your domain name or alternatively you can use the server hostname.
- Click Finish.
Without SSL Encryption
