How to Update Name Servers
Step 1 - Log into your Client Area and click on Active Domains.
You can also click on Domains then My Domains on the left hand side menu.
Step 2 - Click on the Options Icon for the appropriate domain, then click Manage Nameservers.
Step 3 - Enter in the Nameservers that are required, then click on Change. You can also click on the buttons below to ensure your domain is using the correct Nameservers for your hosting. Our Nameservers can be found here.
You can confirm that the changes have been made correctly by doing a WHOIS lookup on the domain using WHOIS lookup tool. The propagation of these Nameserver changes sometimes takes 24-48 hours, and you can view propagation here.
Troubleshooting
Step 1 - If your Nameservers fail to update, please ensure that Registrar lock is disabled. Registrar lock will prevent any changes to the domain, including updating Nameservers.
On your Nameserver page, you should see the message:
If you do not see this message, follow this guide to disable Registrar Lock. You can then re-enable Registrar lock once the Nameservers have been updated.
Step 2 - Perform a lookup on your domain using a tool like whois.com (or whois.auda.org.au for .au domains), and then check the Status field. Match the status against the WHOIS status codes table. If the domain is not in an 'ok' or 'clientUpdateProhibited' (Registrar Lock) status, contact our support team for more information.
