A domain name is only an alias, a domain name is a single service and only consists of the name.
A domain name is similar to your name, a business name or even an alias. A domain name is an identifier, for examaple a company is registered as "Jasons Fridges", the company chooses to register register there domain name as "jasonfridges.com.au" through a domain registrar. Jason Fridges now owns the domain name "jasonfridges.com.au".
